What is Compario and what does it do?
Compario is an independent ride-price comparison app that checks live fares across multiple providers - Uber, Lyft, Waymo, Curb, Kaptyn, Empower, and Robotaxi - for your exact trip and shows the real prices side by side. You can then tap through to the provider you choose to complete booking in the native app.
Does Compario book the ride or take payment?
No. Compario does not book rides, process payments, or manage your driver/trip after you choose a provider. It only shows the comparison and then hands you off to the provider’s app to book, with the trip pre-filled.
Are the prices in Compario real or just estimates?
Compario is designed to show the actual prices for the trip route it checks (not generic estimates). Connect your accounts so that the price shown matches what you’d actually pay.
Do I have to connect/log in to my Uber, Lyft, Waymo, or Curb accounts?
Yes. Connecting your accounts improves your experience by a lot and can help ensure that the displayed fare matches your real checkout price.
How does Compario handle privacy and logins?
Compario is “private by design”: your logins stay on your device, and you can choose which providers to connect or disconnect at any time. It only reads prices and options and does not collect your password or payment details.
